South Carolina JobLink Goes Live!
An exciting new resource greeted South Carolina job seekers, employers,
and workforce professionals on Tuesday, January 22nd: South Carolina JobLink!
South Carolina JobLink (SCJL) is the South Carolina Employment Security
Commission’s implementation of America’s JobLink, a web-based
one-stop system that integrates employer and job seeker self-service with
services provided by workforce professionals. SCESC just made job matching
easier, more efficient, and more effective statewide, 24/7, at www.scjoblink.org.
“JobLink provides us with the ability to offer expanded services
to our customers. The presence on the web and the self-service features
add new dimensions to facilitate the connection of employers and job seekers
in South Carolina,” said Steve Marshall, Deputy Executive Director
of Employment and Training.
SCJL also positively affects workforce managers and administrators by
meeting all federally-mandated data collection and reporting requirements.
In addition to required reports, the comprehensive online reporting capabilities
include numerous management information reports and real-time labor market
statistics for economic development analysis and planning.
Working together in a collaborative partnership, SCESC and America’s
Job Link Alliance – Technical Support converted SCESC data and implemented
SCJL within budget, according to a jointly-developed project management
plan.
America’s Job Link Alliance is a consortium of 26 states who share
the development and implementation costs of workforce development software.
