Account Management

Signing up for an account with Delaware VOCAL free and easy! By creating an account, you gain access to robust career and education searches and information, as well as opportunities to connect with American Job Center staff through appointments and the messaging center. All you need to create an account is an email address.

Sign Up

  1. Click Sign Up in the upper right-hand corner of the splash page.
  2. The Create a Delaware VOCAL Account page displays. All fields are required.
  3. Passwords must be at least 8 characters and are case sensitive. Passwords cannot match any of the past 12 passwords and common words and phrases such as "password" are not allowed. The Password field has a bar beneath it for you to see the strength of the password chosen.
  4. Once all fields are completed, read the User Agreement that displays below the fields. Scroll down to view the complete agreement and related policies, then select “I agree.” or “I do not agree.” to confirm whether you agree with the user agreement or not.
  5. Click Create Account. A validation message displays with information on confirming your email.
  6. Email confirmation is required before you are able to access all features of the site. An email is automatically sent to the email address you entered at registration. Follow the link provided in the email to confirm your account. The confirmation link is active for 24 hours. For more information, go to Email Confirmation below. OAuth (Open Authorization) Sign-on

If you already have an account with Delaware JobLink, you can use those login credentials to sign up with Delaware VOCAL.

Delaware JobLink
  1. To register using Delaware JobLink click Sign in with Delaware JobLink. The Delaware JobLink Login page displays.
  2. Enter your username and password and click Log In.
  3. Enter your name and email address on the Registration page.
  4. Click Finish Registration.
  5. The system will log you in and bring you directly to the My Profile page, to complete your Contact Information, Background Information, and User Agreement. For more information, see Account Management below.

Email Confirmation

Initial Signup

When you create a new user account, the Delaware VOCAL system sends an email to the address listed at registration. The email contains a link to confirm your email in the Delaware VOCAL system. Click the link provided in the email to confirm your email address. You cannot access your account until your email is confirmed.

  1. Email confirmation is required before you are able to access all features of the site. An email is automatically sent to the email address you entered at registration. Follow the link provided in the email to confirm your account. The confirmation link is active for 24 hours. For more information, go to Email Confirmation below.

Send New Email Confirmation Link

If you did not automatically receive an Email Confirmation link or did not confirm your email address within 24 hours, you can send a new confirmation link to your email address, following the steps below.

  1. Navigate to Delaware VOCAL and click Log In. The Login page displays.
  2. Click Request email confirmation below the Username and Password fields. The Request Email Confirmation page displays asking for your Email.
  3. Enter your email address into the Email field. A validation message displays stating that a new Email Confirmation link is on its way and reminding you that the link is only active for 24 hours.
  4. Go to your email and click on the confirmation link to complete email confirmation.
  • If your account is disabled, an email with your new Email Confirmation link is not sent.
  • Log In

    1. Once you have successfully registered your account, or you already have a registered account, click Log In on the splash page. The Login page displays.
    2. To allow the system to remember your account information, select the Remember Me checkbox before clicking Log In.
    3. Click Sign in with Delaware JobLink. The Delaware JobLink Login page displays.
    4. Enter the required information for Delaware JobLink and click Log In.
    5. Enter, update, or verify the existing email address for your JobLink account.
    6. Click Submit. An Important Notice displays in Delaware JobLink. This can be skipped in the future by clicking Don’t Show Message Again. If you want the message to display again, click Continue. The Job Seeker Dashboard in Delaware VOCAL displays.

    Linked Accounts

    The successful use of OAuth is dependent on using the same email address for each system login. If you have multiple accounts that do not share the same email, they will not connect with each other.

    Session Timeout

    After a period of inactivity in your account, a session timeout warning displays. You have the option to continue your session or to log out. If you do not make a selection within 60 seconds, the system automatically logs you off.

    Disabled Account

    Delaware VOCAL staff may disable a user account for suspicious activity. If you attempt to log in to an account that is disabled, a validation message displays stating “This username was disabled. Please contact delawarejoblink@delaware.gov to request reactivation."

    If your account is disabled, you are not able to log in to the system, send a new email confirmation link, or retrieve a forgotten password or username without contacting Delaware JobLink.

    Forgot Password

    Delaware VOCAL

    1. Click Log In in the upper right-hand corner of the home page.
    2. Click Forgot your Password? on the bottom of the Login page.
    3. Type your email address and click Send me reset password instructions.
    4. The password reset link is only available for 24 hours. If your reset link expires, you will receive an error message that says “Your password reset link has expired. Please request new password reset instructions or contact delawarejoblink@delaware.gov for assistance.” If your account is disabled, an email with your password is not sent.
    5. Follow the link in the email that is sent to set a new password for Delaware VOCAL.
    6. Passwords must be at least 8 characters and are case sensitive. Passwords cannot match any of the past 12 passwords and common words and phrases such as "password" are not allowed. The Password field has a bar beneath it for you to see the strength of the password chosen.
    7. Navigate back to the Login page and type the username and password in the appropriate fields, then click Log In.

    Forgot Username

    Delaware VOCAL

    1. Click Log In in the upper right-hand corner of the home page.
    2. Click the Forgot your username? link on the bottom of the Login page.
    3. Type your email address and click Send me my username.
    4. An email is sent to the email address provided.
    5. If your account is disabled, the email with your username is not sent.
    6. Navigate back to the Login page and type the username and password in the appropriate fields, then click Log In.

    My Profile

    Once you are logged into your account, updating your contact information, background information, and user agreement or changing your password can be done easily through the My Profile menu.

    Contact Information

    1. Click My Profile in the side menu to open the drop-down list and select Contact Information.
    2. Edit, update, or verify the information listed and make changes as necessary.
    3. If you are entering a new address on the Contact Information page, the Zip field is a dynamic field. When you enter the new ZIP code, the City and State fields automatically update to the new city and state.
    4. Click Submit. The Job Seeker Dashboard displays.

    Background Information

    1. Click My Profile in the side menu to open the drop-down list and select Background Information.
    2. Edit the Background Information page by selecting or clearing the checkboxes for any statements listed. If you prefer not to answer, leave these boxes cleared.
      • The first 9 statements help determine your Potential Eligibility for services.
      • The resources listed in the box below these statements allow you to request further information about them.
    3. Click Save and Continue.

    User Agreement

    1. Click My Profile in the side menu to open the drop-down list and select User Agreement.
    2. Click the option button beside “I agree.” present on the User Agreement page (step 3) to confirm your agreement to the terms of the website or select “I do not agree.” to no longer allow sharing of your information with other state agencies.
    3. You can toggle through the 3 steps by clicking the title at the top marked by either Step 1 - Contact Information, Step 2 - Background Information, or Step 3 - User Agreement.
    4. Once you select an option to agree or disagree, click Submit to go back to the Job Seeker Dashboard.

    Change Password

    1. Click My Profile in the side menu to open the drop-down list and select Change Password.
    2. Enter your current password and your new password in the fields listed.
    3. Passwords must be at least 8 characters and are case sensitive. Passwords cannot match any of the past 12 passwords and common words and phrases such as "password" are not allowed. The New Password field has a bar beneath it for you to see the strength of the password chosen.
    4. Click Update to save the new password. A validation message displays confirming your password change.
