Manage Job Seeker SSN

To edit or delete a job seeker's Social Security number (SSN), staff must have the necessary privilege and do so from the Admin Tasks menu (not from Job Seeker Demographics). Before editing or deleting a job seeker SSN, confirm that the SSN is not tied to a budget.

Navigation

From the left-hand navigation menu, navigate to Admin Tasks > ServiceLink > Manage Job Seeker SSN.

Editing a Job Seeker SSN

  1. Navigate to Manage Job Seeker SSN. The Manage Job Seeker SSN search page displays.
  2. Type the job seeker's SSN and click Submit. The Manage Job Seeker SSN edit/delete page displays.
  3. Confirm the user information (Part ID and Name). Select the Edit option and enter the revised SSN in the Job Seeker SSN field.
  4. Click Update Job Seeker. A confirmation page displays: "Do you want to save change to the job seeker SSN?"
  5. Click OK. The job seeker's SSN is updated system-wide.

Deleting a Job Seeker SSN

  1. Navigate to the Manage Job Seeker SSN tile. The Manage Job Seeker SSN search page displays.
  2. Type the job seeker's SSN and click Submit. The Manage Job Seeker SSN edit/delete page displays.
  3. Confirm the user information (Part ID and Name). Select the Delete option and select the areas from which the SSN is to be deleted:
    • Universal Information: Corresponds to demographics in the application and to the Job Seeker table in the database.
    • Enrollment Information: Corresponds to enrollment snapshots in the application and to the Job Seeker Snapshot table in the database.
    • Reporting Information: Corresponds to historical data in the database, used for reporting and interfaces such as UI.
  4. Click Update Job Seeker. A confirmation page displays: "Do you want to save change to the job seeker SSN?"
  5. Click OK. The job seeker's SSN is deleted from the areas that were selected.

If a job seeker's SSN is edited or deleted and they have an email address in the system, they will receive an email that reads: "Per your request, your Social Security number has been edited or deleted from <environment>. If you did not request this change, please contact <helpcontact>."
