Employer Search
The Employer Search functionality is designed to search the employer database by a variety of parameters. The most reliable way to find an employer is to search by the employer’s Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) or State Employer Identification Number (SEIN). If you do not know the employer’s FEIN or SEIN, search by the Company Name. Employer Search for adding an Employer Record is discussed inStep 1: Conduct Employer Search in the Add Employer Overview section. This section covers all fields on Employer Search.

- Click Search after filling out the desired search parameters.
- Columns on the Search Results page are sortable by column heading. Columns are Company Name, City, Zip, Contact, Staff Assisted/Self Service, SEIN, and Primary/Sub.
- Click a name in the Company Name column to go to that company's Employer Details.
- Note that the search returns both self-service and staff-assisted employer accounts. These designations refer only to who initially created the account (the employer or job center staff). You only need to create an account for the employer if no accounts of either type already exist. Job center staff can access all necessary staff functions using a self-service account. The only exception to this rule is that they may not be able to edit employer account information depending on their security permissions. Employers can access all necessary employer-approved functions using a staff-assisted account, as long as they have been given the account username and password.
- The employer search results remain available after navigating away. To view another company in the results, use the main menu to navigate to Employer Search, then click Results in Related Links.
- To search again, click the Search Employerlink in Related Links. The previous parameters are populated on the Employer Search page. To execute a new search, remove or change these parameters.
